Chapter 604 Shares Holiday Tea with Students, Veterans

Chapter 604

VVA Chapter 604 participated in a Holiday Tea at the Veterans Administration campus in Topeka, Kansas on December 13th.

The VA’s Holiday Tea is a chance for school children, veterans in the community, and patients to gather and share in the holiday merriment. The VA’s community event has been taking place for over 20 years.

Approximately 100 students from a number of high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools and their bands and choirs performed a number of songs for the veterans and patients. Members of the ROTC were on hand to aid patients with their wheelchairs. For many of the students, the Holiday Tea was their first time visiting a VA.
