Chapter 71 Member Honored as Hometown Hero

Lary D. Fogle Chapter 71 member Ron Spurlock was recognized in Cincinnati, OH by the Cincinnati Reds as an Opening Day Hometown Hero in early April.

In addition to his work in Chapter 71, Spurlock is active in community service such as honor flights, Welcome Home events, and presenting Quilts of Valor.

Spurlock and five other Purple Heart recipients were presented with a Cincinnati Reds baseball hat, certificate, and a Cincinnati Reds challenge coin during a ceremony in the second inning of the game.
