Chapter 154 Carries Out Operation Christmas

Christmas gifts

For decades, Mt. Clemens (MI) Chapter 154 has been delivering gifts to veterans’ families during the holidays. The program, called Operation Christmas, is based in Macomb, MI .

Throughout the year, the Veterans Support Center assists military and veterans of all generations and their families with food donations.

Families benefitting from Operation Christmas submit a request and receive toys for their children as well as food for the holidays.

There are about 200 families, or approximately 500 children, that were assisted this year, comprising families who frequent the Veterans Support Center food pantry, and other families submitted by Chapter 154.

Around 30 families receiving support from Operation Christmas are associated with Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

Operation Christmas was supported by Walmart, local Marines, American House, Eastpointe Rotary Club, Glen H. Peters School and the Macomb Intermediate School District, and the St. Ronald Sister Saints and St. Ronald Men’s Club.
