Chapter 20 Member Needs New Kidney
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20 member Rodney L. Dutton of Canandaigua, N.Y., is in need of a new kidney. An active member of the chapter as well as the VFW, the Disabled American Veterans and the Lions Club, Dutton is in late-stage renal failure due to diabetes.
“Diabetes is a large reason why I need a new kidney,” he told Kidney Connection
. “Although there is some history of it on one side of the family, I was also exposed to the herbicide Agent Orange during the 24 months I served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1967-1969.”
