Chapter 991 Names Raffle Winners

Vietnam Veterans of America Dogwood Chapter 991 in Palestine, Texas, named the winners of its fall scholarship raffle in December. The chapter had been selling raffle tickets at community festivals and gun shows since April 2018, and the proceeds will fund up to 12 scholarships to families of local Vietnam veterans, as well as other veterans programs.

First place ($1,000 in gift cards) went to Hilton (Bear) Bryant; second place (a Kimber Crimson Trace 1911 .45 caliber handgun) went to Steve Daniels; and third place (a Smith-Wesson .38 caliber revolver) went to Henry Kitchens. Firearm documentation and delivery was handled by Archie Van Wey of Buffalo Sporting Goods.
