Chapter 955’s Hagan Wins Good Deeds Award

The Exchange Club of Ocean City (New Jersey) named Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 955 named member Jack Hagan as the recipient of its 54th Annual Golden Deeds Award in June. The award recognizes a Cape May County or Atlantic County individual or group that exemplifies dedication and service to children, community and country, and  is the club’s highest honor.

“Volunteer efforts are very important to our community, and should not go unnoticed,” nominating member John Van Stone told the Cape May Herald. “The Book of Golden Deeds Award recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talent toward making our community a better place to live.

Hagan is an active member of the Ocean City Exchange Club, AMVETS, Knights of Columbus and the South Lake Lodge of the Florida Elks. “Were it not for Jack Hagan, the Legion family would not be as successful as it is today,” said Post 524 Commander Bob Marzulli. “Jack is the heart and soul of many of our important activities. The only “no” in Jack’s vocabulary is ‘no problem.'”
