Chapter 131 Cheers Lebron Appointment

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131 is cheering the appointment of Ken Lebron as the new Berks County (Penn.) director of veterans affairs. “Everybody knows him and trusts him. He’s one of us,” chapter President Bernie Bingham told the Reading Eagle.

Lebron was was born in New York City and attended school in Reading. After participating in the high school Marine JROTC program, he he joined the Marine Reserves. From 2006-07, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, providing security force support for Al Asad airbase.

Lebron began working for local nonprofit organizations in 2009, and became deputy director of the Berks veterans office in 2016. He says that the VA claims process is complicated, and veterans should ask for help. “There are a lot of pitfalls you can encounter, but we can guide you so you can avoid any missteps,” he said. “Come in so we can help.”
