Chapter 388 Donates to Veterans Resource Center

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 388 recently made a $4,000 donation to the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at Western Nevada College (WNC) in Carson City. The VRC’s focus is to help veterans and their families access higher education, and more than 200 veterans attend WNC.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the VVA for this generous donation,” said Niki Gladys, executive director of the WNC Foundation. “Donations like this help us to continue to support our veteran students by providing important on-campus resources that will help them succeed in school and, ultimately, in life.”

“It’s a neat place to invest our funds,” chapter President Tom Spencer told the Nevada Appeal. “With their education, they can progress, improve their careers and the lives of their families.”
