Chapter 203 Recognizes Chattanooga’s Fallen

VVA Chapter 203 and the Chief John Ross Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recently recognized the 34 people who died in combat in Vietnam and are buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Chapter 203 president Bill Norton, a Marine Corps veteran, spoke at the event, noting that those who served did so to protect American freedoms. Chief John Ross Regent Jessica Dumitru then read the names of each of the fallen, along with their birth date, death date, age and branch of service.

Dumitru also distributed flags for friends and family of the deceased to place on the graves. The ceremony was accompanied by Taps and a presentation of colors by the Chapter 203 Honor Guard.
