Chapter 82 Member Johnson Honored

Carl Johnson, former president and member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 82, was honored with a Veterans Medal last month by West Hempstead (N.Y.) Town Supervisor Laura Gillen.

Johnson has been active in veterans causes, and recently worked fellow alumni to discuss the impact of the Vietnam War with current students at Sewanhaka High School. The alumni presented the school with displays of honors and awards related to the nine Sewanhaka graduates who lost their lives in service during the war.
