Chapter 337 Supports Little Soldiers Program

Christmas gifts

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 337 in Paducah, Ky., will again support of the Little Soldiers Christmas Tree program at Fort Campbell. Initiated by military wives at Fort Campbell and now run by Operation Homefront, the Little Soldiers program helps provide Christmas gifts for military families’ children.

“Little Soldiers is one of the many things that Operation Homefront does to make sure the children have a sufficient number of Christmas gifts, toys, board games and things of that sort,” Gordon Williams, a founding member of the chapter, told the Paducah Sun.

Chapter 337 members will visit Fort Campbell tomorrow to distribute toys. “When we help out those kids at Fort Campbell, we feel like we’re carrying out the motto of the Vietnam veterans to the fullest,” Williams said. “We’re trying to help this next generation of veterans, and those kids know that when we come down.”
