Town Hall Introduces Audience to the Effects of Agent Orange

Agent Orange barrels

Before a Chapter 351 town hall meeting in Appleton, WI , some audience members had never heard of the complications from Agent Orange.

The illnesses caused by Agent Orange exposure can impact the children and grandchildren of Vietnam veterans. Members of Chapter 351 said that it is not unusual for the public to have a lack of knowledge about Agent Orange’s consequences on the family of veterans.

Some of the attendees were surprised to learn about all of the possible complications veterans and their families may face from the exposure and wanted to see the information communicated more broadly.

The response from the public during town hall meetings on toxic exposure reveal why VVA members feel it is necessary for lawmakers to pass a bill funding more Agent Orange research.
