Central Minnesota Chapter 290 in St. Cloud, MN hosted a new fundraising event in January called Ribs and Rock.
The proceeds will help fund the chapter’s two main programs: educational efforts on the Vietnam War and helping to care for veterans’ children and grandchildren suffering from Agent Orange-caused health problems.
“Our guys have been going out for years to all the area schools educating students and teachers who weren’t even around when the Vietnam War came,” said chapter member Kenny Schulte. As for the younger generations being affected by Agent Orange, “A lot of times they’re being disregarded because of a disease that is being carried by the parents and grandparents,” he said.
