Legislation moves very slowly unless legislators want something passed quickly. I find it very sad seeing the pace legislation moves for Vietnam veterans and their families. Decisions on presumptives based on the March 10, 2016, IOM Report are long overdue. There is always some excuse for not getting it out sooner.
We need to continue putting pressure on legislators. They need to do a better job. Otherwise, someday we may not have enough service men and women to protect these shores.
The Agent Orange Committee will keep fighting for more help for veterans and their families. We continue to discuss how we can move things along. I believe prayer is the answer.
