Chapter 974 Joins Burger Challenge Fundraiser

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 974 raffled off a “Pool Of Fun” basket to support the teams participating in an annual 6-lb. Burger Challenge sponsored by Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, Pa. The challenge was staged this year to benefit the PA Wounded Warriors and the Clearfield Ministerium Food Pantry.

Three four-man teams from the Clearfield Bison football team, Sway’s Lawn Care, and Bob’s Army and Navy competed to finish the colossal burger on Aug. 3 during the Clearfield County Fair. Bob’s Army and Navy prevailed for the third year in a row, finishing the burger in 47 minutes. The event raised $2,640 for the charities.
