Chapter 949’s Wroblewski Speaks at USMC Birthday Ball

Ron Wroblewski, president of Vietnam Veterans of America Tri-State Chapter 949, spoke at the U.S. Marine Corps’ 244th Birthday Ball in Point Pleasant, W. Va, Nov. 9. USMC personnel and veterans celebrate the branch’s birthday throughout the world on this day.

During the American Revolution, the Continental Congress passed a resolution establishing the Marines as landing forces for the newly formed Continental Navy. Wroblewski is a combat veteran who served as a field radio operator with the Marine Corps from 1963–1969 and in Vietnam 1965–66.
