Chapter 885 Hosts Traveling Memorial Wall

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 885 and the American Honor Guard of North Carolina brought the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall to Wilmington, N.C., over the weekend, July 26-July 29. The Wall was open for viewing 24 hours a day at Mayfaire Town Center mall.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is a 288-foot, 3/5-scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., that stands as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. Friday’s opening ceremonies included the posting of colors, a wreath ceremony, and a keynote address.
