Chapter 1032 Members Ride Restored Huey

More than 20 people including members of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1032 took a ride on a fully restored Huey 823 last month in West Manchester Township (Penn.) on Aug. 10, thanks to the the Liberty War Bird Association (LBWA), a nonprofit volunteer group of veterans.

The UH-1H helicopter spent two years shuttling troops and supplies in Vietnam, and is one of only about six restored Hueys in the United States. “You hear that sound?” LWBA maintenance director Kevin Schnetzka asked the York Dispatch. “That’s the sound of freedom.”
