Chapter 32’s Daughtry Recognized

Michael Daughtry of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 32 was recently honored by the Glendale (N.Y.) Kiwanis and Assemblyman Mike Miller (D-Woodhaven) at an annual Veterans Breakfast in Ozone Park. Eight veterans from the legislative district were recognized with plaques and citations, one posthumously.

“Our veterans have given us our freedom and have secured our way of life,” Miller said. “They have sacrificed their time with their families, have been abroad on tours during the holidays and served thousands of miles away from our country. They defended us from our enemies and kept us out of harm’s way abroad and on our soil.”

The Lane ROTC program also received a certificate of recognition.
