Chapter 1030 Welcomes Lt. Gov. Duncan

Vietnam Veterans of America Cumming Chapter 1030 welcomed Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan to its Aug. 6 meeting for an update on what state government has been doing recently for veterans and the general public.

Duncan said that Georgia is working to improve health care with its new Tele-health system. Giving people access to basic medical care via the system promises to improve care in rural areas where accessing care is difficult.

Duncan also promised to champion improvements to K–12 education, and said he will pursue economic development by making Georgia the tech capital of the East Coast. In closing, he said, “I am grateful to be your lieutenant governor and even more grateful for your service.”
