The great Tim O’Brien is on a nationwide book tour for his first literary offering in seventeen years, Dad’s Maybe Book, a non-fiction meditation on late fatherhood, war in general, and the Vietnam War and his participation in it as an infantryman in particular.
More than four hundred people showed up for one of his first talks, billed as “An Evening with Tim O’Brien” in September at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. He delivered a typically hard-hitting, introspective, and heartfelt Tim O’Brien talk centering on the book’s main themes. You can watch the entire talk on YouTube.
