Per the North Carolina Statute § 14-415.12A, section 8, although a person may have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, permittees are not authorized to carry the permitted weapon anywhere they desire. The weapon may not be carried on:
Any premises where notice that carrying a concealed handgun is prohibited, by the posting of a conspicuous notice, or statement by the person in legal possession or control of the premises.
The Sheraton Greensboro and the Koury Convention Center have conspicuous notices posted on their property. Carrying of concealed weapons are punishable by law. There will be local Police Officers on duty in the hotel.
Also, the ban against concealed weapons is addressed in the Vietnam Veterans of America Convention Rules.
