At-Large Director

I am running for reelection for the position of Board of Director-at-Large.

 

In April 1962, I was drafted and went on to serve enlisted tours with the 5th Special Forces Group and the Army Security Agency. After attending Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, I served various officer assignments that included Battery Commander and Battalion Commander.

 

During my career, I served two tours of duty in Vietnam; three tours of duty in Germany; a tour of duty in Korea; numerous tours stateside; and special assignments.

 

My military education includes the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. After 31 years of military service, I retired at the rank of Colonel.

 

My civilian education includes a BS in Business Management from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and an MA in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, with post-graduate work at the University of Oklahoma.

 

I served as the Program Administrator for the Agent Orange Class Assistance Program for the State of Oklahoma and as the Director of Veterans Family Services, where I still serve now.

 

Nationally, I served as the committee chairman for the 2012 Leadership Conference, and I am currently serving as chairman of the Government Affairs Committee. I am chairman of the State of Oklahoma Veterans Council and the Chief Service Officer for the State of Oklahoma. I serve on the VVA’s Minority Affairs Committee, Convention Committee, and Veterans Benefit Committee. I am a life member of VVA.
