Region 7 Director

Dennis J Andras

Region 7 Director

I’m running for the position of Region Seven Director. I’m a decorated combat veteran, having served in Vietnam for twenty months with the 101st Airborne Division, 2/502 Infantry, as a Forward Observer and Reconnaissance Sergeant, and as Battalion Liaison Sergeant from 1969 through 1971. I was medically retired from active duty at the rank of staff sergeant. Kathy and I have been married for fifty years, and have been blessed with two sons, one of whom is an Iraqi War veteran.

Among the duties of a Regional Director, according to the National Board of Directors Handbook, is to represent the membership within a Region to the National Board and its Executive Officers in all interest and matters.

Over the past two years, I have been your voice before the National Board in all matters. Before voting on any issue that came before the Board, I contacted all the State Council presidents in Region Seven to get a consensus on how I should cast my vote, and I voted according to the majority.

The destiny of our organization will be decided over the next two years. It is important that you elect Directors who will do the bidding of the membership and not follow their own personal agenda or someone else’s.

If you chose to, once again, place your trust in me for another term, I will continue to represent you, the membership, as I have done in the past.

I thank you for your consideration and trust you have placed in me.
