Commandant, Marine Corps League Detachment 858; Marine of the Year 2016 & 2019; President, The Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Wall; Chaired The Traveling Vietnam Wall 2013; Co-Chaired The Traveling Vietnam Wall for state of Kentucky 2015; Past Commander, VFW Post 6935, 2011-14; Started two Honor Guards; member of Rolling Thunder and Patriot Guard.

 

Named Hometown Hero, Lexington, Kentucky, 2016; Inducted into Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame, 2017; Having road sign or memorial for each of the 1,106 we lost in Kentucky in Vietnam installed in their county. Lecture High School students on the history of the Vietnam War and flag etiquette.

 

I enlisted in the Marine Corps, 1969. PFC out of Boot Camp; Communication School, Promoted L/Cpl.; Camp Lejeune, promoted Cpl., MAG-16, Marble Mountain Vietnam (70-71) Secret & Confidential Files and TAD Door Gunner; promoted Meritorious Combat promotion, Sgt/E5; Honorably Discharged at Beaufort, S.C., 1972.

 

Manager for IBM, Lexington, Ky.; Corporate Director of Corp. Services, H.J. Wilson, Inc.; self-employed, Mattingly Enterprises (Mattingly Realty & Auction Co., Home Inspection Group, Accu Forms and Rental Property, Concealed Carry Instructor. Degree in Drafting and Business Management.
