At-Large Director

I am running for reelection for the position of Board of Director At-Large.

In April 1962 I was drafted, and I went on to serve enlisted tours with the 5th Special Forces Group and the Army Security Agency. After attending Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, Okla., I have had various officer assignments that included Battery Commander and Battalion Commander. During my career, I have had two tours of duty in Vietnam, three tours of duty in Germany, a tour of duty in Korea, and numerous tours stateside and special assignments. My military education includes the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. After 31 years of military service, I retired at the rank of Colonel.

My civilian education includes a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and an M.A. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma with postgraduate work at the University of Oklahoma. I have served as the Program Administrator for the Agent Orange Class Assistance Program for the State of Oklahoma, and the Director of Veterans Family Services where I still serve now.

Nationally, I have served as the Committee Chairman for the 2012 Leadership Conference and I am currently serving as the Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee, Chairman of the State of Oklahoma Veterans Council and the Chief Service Officer for the State of Oklahoma. I serve on the Minority Affairs Committee, the Convention Committee and the Veterans Benefit Committee.

I am a life member of VVA.
