The Treasure Valley Chapter of Boise, ID has been formulating plans for a monument to be placed in the city’s Veterans Memorial Park. The chapter has been hoping for years to see the city install a memorial modeled after the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC.
Details between Boise and the state of Idaho, as well as the Idaho Veterans Advisory Council are still being weighed. The city’s Parks and Recreation department is completely on board, and is just waiting on approval.
The Treasure Valley Chapter has plans set in place to fundraise for the expensive memorial. They intend to sell commemorative bricks to the public at local grocery stores.
This memorial will be a great tribute to nearly 127 Idahoans who were lost in the Vietnam War.
