The Michael Callahan Memorial Chapter 955 in Wildwood, NJ , helped dedicate a monument to veterans who died after the Vietnam War due to injuries and illnesses caused by their military service.
The monument sits directly behind the Wildwood Vietnam Remembrance Wall. The inscription reads: “In memory of the men and women who served in the Vietnam War and later died as a result of their service. We honor and remember their sacrifice.”
The monument grew out a project by Sean McBride to complete his requirements to become an Eagle Scout. Near the conclusion of the dedication McBride received his Eagle Scout badge.
