Chapter 805 and Wreaths Across America honor veterans in Roseburg, Oregon.

VVA Umpqua Valley Chapter 805 participated in the laying of wreaths with Wreaths Across America on December 16 in Roseburg, Oregon

AVVA Chapter 805 and the Patriot Guard Riders organized the 12th annual ceremony honoring fallen heroes at the Roseburg National Cemetery Annex.

Chapter members conducted a solemn gesture in placing a wreath representing each branch of the military at the flag pole of the cemetery. After laying each of the wreaths, the veteran took a step back and saluted the wreath representing Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. There was a seventh wreath in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Wreaths were also laid at the original national ceremony in Roseburg.

The wreaths will be displayed for the public to honor and remember our fallen heroes until January 1.
