Chapter 607 Recognizes Ill Girl and Family

Lilly Vets Ch 607

Central Alabama’s Chapter 607 presented Lilly Stack, a 5 year old with Alopecia Areata, and her family with a Recognition Plaque after she and her fellow Girl Scouts troop helped during the VVA’s annual flag retirement ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery in Maxwell, AL on Veteran’s Day.

Lilly suffers from the autoimmune skin disease which causes her hair loss as well as other health effects, such as a slightly weaker immune system, asthma, and other issues.

It was Lilly’s boundless energy, however, that caught the attention of Chapter 607’s member Geoff Colt. During the flag-folding and flag-retirement ceremony the Girl Scouts troop assisted the veterans. Colt said that Lilly’s smile and positivity stood out.

Lilly’s father, United States Air Force Maj. Jason Stack, recently moved his family to Maxwell Air Force Base in July to attend Air Command and Staff College.
