Chapter 358 Receives Aid in Memorial Upkeep

Chapter 358 recently received a check from First American Bank of Silver City for the maintenance of the Forgotten Veterans Memorial at Bataan Memorial Park near Santa Clara, NM

The chapter sought funds from those in the community to assist in the upkeep of the memorial. When Chapter 358 approached the bank, First American Bank agreed to cover the entire cost of repainting the Huey helicopter, which is the centerpiece of the memorial.

Earlier this year, other additions to the park included a building for Chapter 358’s meetings and equipment storage. The site also has a new fountain that flows into a stream.
