Chapter 269 Helps Another Generation of Veterans

On a warm and sunny February 1, twenty-four members of Clinton County, IL, Chapter 269 spent the day building a wheelchair ramp for disabled Korean War veteran Louis Radake and his disabled son, Mike, in Posey, IL.

“Louis and Mike were overwhelmed with emotion and thanks when they were finally able to use the completed ramp and deck,” chapter member Vernon Mohesky said. “Without the wheelchair ramp, Louis and Mike were both homebound.”

In August 2015 Chapter 269 members built a ramp for a Vietnam veteran in House Springs, MO.
