Chapter 242 Member Presents Quilt to WWII Vet
Roger McGill, a member of Jefferson Park Chapter 242 in Chicago, IL presented a quilt to World War II veteran Eugene Polejewski, 93, at the Smith Village retirement community on April 11.
The quilt was donated by the Illinois chapter of Quilts of Valor, which asked McGill to present it to Polejewski to recognize his service.
At the chapter’s May 9 Tuesday coffee meeting Quilts of Valor presented red-white-and-blue quilts to every chapter member.
