‘Service, Sacrifice, and Courage’ Doc

“Vietnam: Service, Sacrifice, and Courage” is the title of a new documentary featuring a group of Vietnam War veterans from Northeast Florida discussing their service in the war and their experiences after coming home. Produced by Michael Rothfeld and directed by Josh Wallace, the doc was filmed and edited by Flagler College Communications Department students.

“The Vietnam veterans were not like the WWII or Korean War veterans we had worked with on our previous documentaries, ” the college film crew said. “The Vietnam veterans were more actively involved in watching, suggesting and directing us to tell their true stories. What emerged shows the veterans to be just like you and me. They fought in an unpopular war and yet returned home to lead normal and successful lives. They could be and are your neighbors, friends and relatives.”
