The Memorial Day Writers Project, which has held readings by veterans in its tent on the Mall in Washington, D.C., since 1993, just announced that the show will go on this year, although not in person because of the pandemic. The readings will be held on-line through Zoom.
“We’ll do round robin readings and everyone can read four or five one-page poems at a time, a short story, flash fiction, or several songs, just like on the National Mall,” said Dick Epstein, who coordinates the event, and who will host it on line this year. “So tune your guitars and blow the dust off your lyrics. “
It all starts today, Monday, May 25, 2020, Memorial Day, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time
