In honor of Women’s History Month, the Library of Congress’s Digital Reference Section will hold a one-hour web discussion (a Webinar) on Wednesday, March 23 , starting at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, focusing on the women veterans and the Veterans History Project . The seminar is called “Women Who Served: Stories from the Veterans History Project.” Megan Harris and Rachel Mears of the LOC’s Veterans History Project will share the stories of female veterans documented in their own words and voices.
Participants also will learn about how to do research with—and how to participate in—this oral history project, which collects and preserves the personal accounts of American war veterans. Participants need to have Internet access and a computer with speakers or a headset. To register go to www.loc.gov/rr/program/web-discussions_form.php?loclr=eaps After registering, you will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to join in the Webinar.
