“It’s good to recognize those we haven’t made accountability of, whether they were POWs or MIAs,” retired Brig. Gen. Merle Hart said at the ceremony. “Honoring them, remembering them and hopefully someday bringing them home.”

The service reminds the government that these men and women matter, chapter Secretary Marlin Plymette told WJAC-TV News. “The government needs to be aware that these people are important to our community and our society. There are 82,000 from all the wars who are still missing.”
