Goyette Selected as Chapter 1030’s Vet of the Year

Gary Goyette was named VVA Cumming Chapter 1030‘s 2017 Veteran of the Year in Cumming, Georgia. 

Goyette received the honor from chapter president Gary Ely who presented the award at the December chapter meeting. He has served Chapter 1030 as secretary for two years.

Some of the reasons why Goyette was named Veteran of the Year are because he is dedicated to informing fellow chapter members about news in the Chapter 1030 community, the veteran community, and the Cumming community. He visits veterans in the Atlanta VA Medical Center, and he actively participates in the chapter’s fundraising initiatives.

Goyette is the retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years, and served in Vietnam from 1970 – 1971.
