MARSHA FOUR, CHAIR
Kathy Weblemo, staff director of the Subcommittee on Health for the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, spoke to the VVA Women Veterans Committee about new bills affecting women veterans. Senate bill S2799 deals with several issues that are not addressed in the House bill, HR4107. Both bills can be found at www.thomas.gov

WOMEN VETERANS SUMMIT
VVA will have an information table and will participate in a workshop on homeless women veterans at the VA-sponsored 4th National Summit on Women Veterans’ Issues, which will be held June 20-22 in Washington. We look forward to this national summit, which is held every four years. At least four committee members will attend. For details, see the Women Veterans Committee web page.

VIETNAM WOMEN’S MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY
Veterans Day, November 11, marks the 15th anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial. VVA again will sponsor the Color Guard Pass in Review Ceremony. Please pass this information on to all you know. Bruce Whitaker will help coordinate the Pass in Review, as he did five years ago. If your chapter wants to participate, email Bwhitaker@vva.org We hope to make this a memorable commemoration.

Reminder: 4th National Summit on Women Veterans’ Issues, June 20-22, Washington, DC
