It is the duty of regional directors to contact all state
representatives in your region to ensure elections are being
conducted for state representative or president and chapter
representative. By now, an election committee in your state
should have been appointed. It is the job of the election
committee to check membership numbers, provide ballots, and
conduct the elections in the way described in the AVVA Policy
and Procedures manual.
Remember, if an election is not held,
we will not appoint a state representative or president,
nor will we conduct an election at a later date. If we must,
we will select a point of contact. The point of contact will
not have voting privileges at national and state elections.
